Elizabeth Wyman Project 1

Okay, So I went about this project a little differently. I made three pictures instead of one to use all the tools I wanted. So here they are.

Flowers:

I used the pen tool to make the flower in the center of the image. I rounded out the petals and leaves using the convert anchor point tool. I made the petals all the same length and deleted any unwanted anchor points using the delete anchor point tool. I used the oval tool to make the center of the flower. Then I used the paint bucket tool to color the flower and the leaves. Using the sub-selection tool I selected only the petals of the flower and copy and pasted them to make another flower, which I turned blue. I pasted on top of that one a lighter blue flower that I then selected and transformed using the rotate option with the free transform tool. I used the line tool to create stems for the flowers and the center of the leaves. I then used the rectangle tool to make a green box at the bottom of the stage. I added and modified text using the text tool. I broke apart the text and converted it into a symbol. I then modified it using the free transform tool.

Good Night:

I created the text with the text tool. I then modified it to get the letter spacing and font styles I wanted. Then I used the oval tool to create a circle. I then right clicked on the stage and changed the background color in properties to black. I selected the circle and filled it with a gradient with the paint bucket tool. I then adjusted the gradient to the colors and focal point I wanted with the gradient transform tool. I then broke apart my text twice and filled it with a custom gradient as well using the color palette and paint bucket tool. I converted the text to a symbol so that it would appear in front of the circle or moon.

Abstract:
I used the paint tool, pencil tool, rectangle, oval, primitive rectangle, and primitive oval tool. The merge drawing is useful for creating more complex shapes without changing anchor points. The object drawing is easy to manipulate and seems to lay on top of other objects. The primitive shape tool is easy to change using the anchor points. I used all kinds of different setting on the paint and pencil tool to create my images. I changed the stroke and scale as well as the smoothing.
